Safety Cage

Safety cages are designed to permit a forklift to elevate a maximum of two people to a high working area. They are generally used for maintenance work, order picking and stocktaking. The safety cage slides onto the standard forks fitted to the forklift until the retention pins can be positively locked into place.

The Safety Cages are manufactured with a square finish and are fully meshed at the rear of the cage. The cages can also be made with a fully meshed finished on all sides of the cage.

All the safety cages are available with either class 2, class 3 or class 4 fork tyne pockets, to accommodate the varying styles of forklift truck. Two harness anchor points are fixed to the floor of the cage. The cage can also be fitted with a tooling rail, at the top rear of the cage, if required.

The standard finish applied to the product is ‘safety yellow’ enamel paint.

Structural design and material selection of this attachment is in accordance with AS2359.1.

Welded fabrication of this product is in accordance with AS1554.1 SP.
