Tow Jibs

Tow Jibs are designed to allow a forklift truck to temporarily tow trailers. The jib shall slide on to the forks completely until the retention pins can be positively locked into place. All towing activities shall be at low speed and with due care to limit braking and accelerating loads to the tow jib.

The TJ-100 jib is fitted with a Combination Pintle style hook at the front mounting plate and the STJ-100 is fitted with a standard tow ball.

The tow jibs can also be provided with a swivel hook attached by a bow shackle to allow the jib to lift crane lifted loads.

The standard finish applied to the product is ‘safety yellow’ enamel paint.

Structural design and material selection of this attachment is in accordance with AS2359.1.

Welded fabrication of this product is in accordance with AS1554.1 SP
